Drawback: Scratching on surfaces and cool surface is very common on slate floors.

Drawback: Water absorption is more. A protective coating is a must to avoid moisture.

The main drawback of stone flooring is its purchase and installation cost. Anyhow natural stone is long lasting flooring types that not only increase the value of your home but also gives a steady performance lasting for ages.
