Styles, Colors, and Types of Vinyl Flooring

There are several types of vinyl flooring, each with its own purpose. Among the different options are three different wear surfaces—no wax, Urethane, and Enhanced Urethane. Explore the styles and colors below to find an option that woks well for your space.

Vinyl Plank
Vinyl plank flooring is an option designed to imitate the appearance of hardwood or tile floors at a fraction of the cost. It has a smooth surface that’s comfortable underfoot and is also highly stain-resistant and more durable than traditional hardwood planks.

Vinyl Tile
Vinyl tile flooring consists of individual squares of various sizes that give the appearance of stone tile when formed together. Because of their design, vinyl tiles are easy to replace. Simply remove the flooring that is damaged and replace that piece. Vinyl tile is available in a wide selection of designs and patterns, so you’re sure to find one that suits you.

Vinyl Sheet
Vinyl sheet flooring is made as a single roll of flooring that is usually 6-12 feet wide. This option has limited seams and is great for areas with high moisture like bathrooms and kitchens. Plus, installation is generally quick as you simply need to unroll the piece that’s cut to the right size.

Luxury Vinyl Flooring
This wood-like, waterproof vinyl flooring option resists moisture and offers a realistic look similar to tile or laminate. It’s constructed in layers that help increase its durability and longevity. Learn more about luxury vinyl flooring here.
